Our latest site has gone live today. Church Oast is a luxury bed and breakfast in Hernhill.
Owned by Jill, Church Oast is set in the beautiful Kent countryside and was built in 1850. The building has a rich history and we wanted to balance the new web site to ensure the character of the building and the modern features of the B&B were promoted to Jill's customers.
The site has numerous features including:
- A content management system to allow Jill to log in and update the site at any time
- Simple contact forms to allow clients to contact her easily
- A professional business e-mail address - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- An image gallery to display a selection of photographs
The site also features a translation facility that translates the text on the whole site into French, German, Dutch or Italian. This was an extra feature requested because the B&B receives a lot of guests from these countries and it will help to make the site easier to navigate for them.
As well as adding additional features, we have optimised the site for search engines so that more customers can find Church Oast on the web. We will now monitor Jill's site and help ensure it keeps climbing up the Google search results when people search for 'Hernhill bed and breakfast' and other relevant terms.
The old site had plenty of written content so we took the existing text and migrated it to the new site, all as part of the initial set up. New text has been added and extra feature areas to help drive site visitors to relevant areas of the site.
Jill's Comments
When I was ready to go ahead with updating my website, Faversham Designs worked very quickly and within a week had designed a new website, moved my domain name from my old server and went live with the new web site. They were able to reflect the ethos of my business, highlight the strengths and responded very quickly to any suggestions I made. Della has recently set up her virtual assistant / personal assistant business based in Kent but she is able to communicate across the UK and worldwide, virtually, if required.
